Description

This is an artwork request by Adell :D

Zero is from Grand Chase, though I don't play the game myself which I found choosing a background that is suitable for this character rather difficult but then all I could remember are trees and I hope that worked out. lol

I used poster paints on watercolor pad. I worked on this on 3 separate days/ it's been a long while since i've painted so maybe that slowed me down a bit D:

OMG i forgot the details on his grand arc/ark D:
just saw it when i posted this already

oh well, i'll be adding it later ~

In terms of anatomy and what not, you've done a fair job. It isn't perfect, but considering the style, it works. The piece is also very dynamic which works well. I really get the impression that sword is going to smash me in the face!

That said I think his hands are in an incredibly awkward position for doing what he intends. The way he's holding the sword makes me think he isn't going to swing it but is just holding it there for some reason. Either that, or he's going to swing it and his right wrist is going to block his left from swinging around. His right arm needs to be under-grip to swing the sword at the angle he's looking to swing it.

As well, I think you do a better job coloring in some of your other pieces (having had a quick scan to compare). In your other pieces, they really seem like I'm looking into another world. Here the way you've colored it lets me know I'm looking at a drawing- not good. I think the difference is, unlike your other pieces, the textures in this piece aren't right. The sword has the same texture as the clothing here, and because they are the same color, you really need to make the effort to distinguish the textures. As you probably know because you manage it in other pieces, cloth feels different to steel, and needs to be drawn that way.
